This four week series focuses on yoga practices for maintaining a healthy pelvis. A healthy pelvis involves the layers of pelvic floor muscles, hip muscles, pelvic/hip bones and joints, and how they work in harmony with the abdominal, back and breathing muscles as well as the pelvic and abdominal organs.
In this series we develop awareness of the bony landmarks of the pelvis and the related muscles in order to cultivate balance through stretching and strengthening effectively. Special attention is given to breathing patterns and how this affects pelvic health. A healthy pelvis is a vital part of your core. It contributes to optimal organ support, continence, and overall stability. You will learn and practice the foundations for healthy, supported functional movement contributing to more freedom, confidence and resilience.
