Join me to discover some surprising reasons for the tension you carry in your shoulders and neck. We will learn a toolbox full of practices to bring relief to your neck and shoulders and keep them free, resilient and happy. The last class on the 25th, the week of Thanksgiving, we will practice restorative yoga for deep relaxation.

The whole series (4 weeks) is $60.

If you will be out of town for the week of Thanksgiving you can pay for the first three weeks only ($45). IF there is space, drop in ($20) will be available for the Restorative on the 25th.

Intro to Badass Old Lady Training

An introduction to Badass Old Lady Training. We explore the basics of balance, posture, breath, and movement patterns. This is a great first step if you are interested in finding out more about my "badass" offerings but not sure if it is for you. This class is accessible to everybody that can walk through the front door.

Badass Old Lady Training

If you are interested in staying resilient, mobile and strong (and maybe a little feisty) as the years go by - Join me for a playful, engaging movement practice that I like to call my "badass old lady training"! I'm not training to be slim, or look good in my swimsuit...I'm training for old age. I want to be stable, strong, resilient, dynamic and do the things I enjoy doing for as long as I can.

In this class we work on balance, stability, and mobility of all the joints, strength including grip strength for strong hands and wrists, endurance, posture, better breathing and mindfulness.

Do not wait to do this when you think you are "old". This is not just for "old ladies" - this is for anyone that may one day BE an old lady, or anyone interested in learning how to move well and how to move better. You actually don't even have to be a lady. But fair warning...you may become a total badass.

Possible side effects: feeling great, soaring confidence, and feeling good about aging.

Each week we will focus on a specific area of the body and then apply what we learn to a flowing movement circuit through the space.   

Nov 1 - Feet First!  We will focus on keeping our foundation feeling great, look at how our feet affect our posture, and learn how to find and build excellent balance.

Nov 8 - Strong and Mobile Hips and Legs.  We will work with hip strength and flexibility and getting up and down from the floor and play with some ways that the floor itself can help us with our hip flexibility.

Nov 15 - Capable Shoulders, Wrists and Hands.  We will learn how posture is affecting our shoulders then warm up shoulders, wrists and hands to explore how to use them in the healthiest way for pushing, weight bearing, gripping and pulling to build strength and flexibility.

Nov 22 - Connected Core.  We will learn that the basis for a healthy core is our BREATH and how breath supports our movement for optimal strengthening and resiliency.

These yoga classes will emphasize slow mindful movement inviting you into deepening levels of awareness on the continuum of physical-mental-emotional being. This style of practice could be called "the yoga of awareness". Through cultivating mindfulness, exploring movement inquiries, breath awareness and yoga postures we will step onto the path of yoga.

Yoga is a state of being and also a practice to realize that state. Through yoga practices such as physical postures, both active and restful, and breath awareness techniques the practitioner cultivates deeper awareness first on the physical level and eventually to subtler mental/emotional levels. Wisdom of Sound & Sages

Sonic Immersions in Eternal Jñāna

Join us for a Sound Bath accompanying words of wisdom from various spiritual masters. Eryk Olson will join us at the studio to provide a deeply immersive, full body listening experience with the sounds of etheric crystal singing bowls, atmospheric chimes and gongs and the cleansing ocean drum. Audrey will provide yoga props and guidance into deep relaxation, as well as voicing the words of wisdom from selected wisdom texts.

To include all learners we do not get down and up from the floor - all work is done standing and using a chair.
