Metta is the Pali word for loving-kindness and also referred to as "unconditional goodwill". First introduced by the Buddha in the Metta Sutta, this ancient practice of cultivating compassion is an essential and powerful practice for training the heartmind. Metta practice is many layered and very expansive. In this meditation, we begin simply with connecting to the heart space and finding the softness of the heart through our care or affection for another.
