Cultivating a Practice - Day 8 (38 min)

On Day 8 props you will need: a mat, block(s) two may be helpful but one will suffice, supports for sitting and savasana - options are: a chair, meditation cushion, block and blankets, bolster, eye covering.

We practice sitting and an introductory viloma pranayama. Supine sacral circles, supine open twist spiraling to a prone twist and transition to "beast". Standing poses: we begin practicing from adhomukha svanasana (downward facing dog) transitioning to a lunge and from the lunge to utthita parsvakonasana (extended side angle pose) and parivrtta parsvakonasana (revolved side angle pose). Full plank, caturanga, forearm vasisthasana (side plank), setu bandha (bridge), suptapadangusthasana (supine big toe pose) and finish the asana practice with happy baby pose. A brief seated meditation,and savasana (corpse pose). Reminder - the video ends as we settle into savasana, it is not timed. So you may want to set your own timer or just free style it!
