Namo Namah Yoga Sadhaka-s!
Greetings Yoga Practitioners!
This week I am offering up two videos for focusing on improving mobility in your wrists and shoulders - strengthening them through their range of motion - and preparing us for upper body weight bearing....and the possibility of a handstand!
This practice is exactly what you are looking for if you experience your hands and wrists as feeling weak and your range of motion in the shoulders feels restricted. We explore a few moves that get you ready for going upside down and bearing your weight through your arms. Then we do a little upside down test (half handstand at the wall). Yay!
This first video Wrists, Shoulders, Upper Body Strength OH MY! (56 min) is an almost one hour class offering detailed instruction, explanation, supportive imagery and modifications.
This video Wrists, Shoulders, Upper Body Strength OH MY guided practice (33 min) is exactly that! a guided practice of the above class with minimal instruction (and some soft background music). So, I encourage you to take the longer class first then later you can practice the sequence with me with this video.
After practicing for some time notice that with strong arms and hands and the ability to support ourselves upside down - we feel capable and confident. So, my friends, go get your super powers cape and get ready to get strong! "See you" in class.
Punar milamah
