Surrender to the Earth to Rise Up Strong!

Do you ever have those days when you want to and need to take care of your bodymind but can't seem to muster up the energy to do it? If so, then, I think you may appreciate my approach to our practice this week. We start by laying on the floor, surrendering our weight and connecting to the sensations of breath. Then we find gliding and rocking movements to move into twists and core stabilizing and then roll over to our bellies for spinal flowing cobras. This leads us to press into the Earth to rise up to a quadruped posture and then standing. We follow the dynamic standing sequence with a supported chest and belly opener for deep relaxation. It is a compassionate approach to practice that taps in to our feeling-tone to deeply nourish ourselves.
