Exploring Balance! It has a bigger impact on your life than you may realize....

Svagatam - Welcome!
This week I'm inviting you to explore and challenge your balance.
I've added this 39 minute class called....Exploring Balance!
You'll find it in the section Asana Practices less than one hour.
In this practice we learn a very effective way to balance on one leg and then we explore and play with challenging our balance to improve and get stronger. In the class we apply this to some eka pada (one leg) standing poses but you will find this applies to all of our movements of daily living. As long as you can stand - there are modifications for every body and even if you already are an advanced one leg balancer (!) there are some challenges here for you too!
Recent research shows that there are many benefits to practicing standing on one leg. Learning to and being able to balance on one leg stimulates our sensory systems, cognitive system and musculoskeletal system. This has been found to improve our cognitive function, confidence, functional movement and overall quality of life. SO - Go balance! Have fun! Get stronger, smarter, more confident and enjoy your life!
