Cultivate and Maintain Upper Body Strength!

Happy Summer everyone!
I took a mini staycation last week to slow things down a bit and take some time to enjoy warmth and sunshine (and leisurely do some house and yard projects - which always feels good to dive into).
I know many of us spend more time outdoors this time of year in the garden, hiking, kayaking, camping etc... so I want to be sure to add some short practices to the library so that you can access on-going support for maintaining your yoga practice.
This week I created a fun exploration of upper body strength through a gentle sun salutation modification that I have been playing with in my studio classes. I taught this (or some variation of it) in my live classes two weeks ago. You'll find the class in the Asana Practices (less than an hour) section - it's called Beginning To Explore Upper Body Strength (35 min).
I also added a short short practice - Mini Hip Mobility practice 12 minutes! - it's an excerpt from the class Power to the Hips that I added a few weeks ago. This short playful practice seated on the floor packs in a lot of good stuff in just 12 minutes! It helps us keep our hips, legs and core strong and supple and we get a little bit of wringing out to feel refreshed and energized!
