A Well Rounded Practice

What is a well rounded yoga practice? Well, THAT question leads to a lot of other questions...but to keep it simple for today....I'm answering that with a class that is very much like a class you'd experience in the studio. We start with centering ourselves, some breath awareness and pranayama (yogic breathing practice), an asana sequence that moves us in all the planes of movement which includes some dynamic movement as well as a supported restorative posture and a guided timed savasana. (pronounced shuh-vAH-suh-nuh and it means corpse pose = deep relaxation).

Sound good? I hope so! You can find it in the Foundations section of the library. A Well Rounded Class - 1 (84 min)

This class contains very clear instruction in alignment and important basic awareness for a safe and effective practice - this is why it's in the Foundations section. You'll see it is an 84 minute class and I know we aren't always able to schedule that much time in the day for our yoga practice - but I hope that you can find one day a week to dive into a bit longer practice - whether it is this class or one from the Asana Classes (one hour +) section. Have fun exploring, learning, playing and nourishing yourself!
