A Rolling Tour of the Hip Socket

This week I am your guide on a rolling tour of the hip socket! In this class we are practicing asana-s that take the pelvis through a full range of motion around the femur (thigh) bone with our standing poses and then a bit later we move through a series of asana-s on the floor taking the femur bone through a range of movement within the hip socket. This leaves us with deliciously happy hips freed up to allow abundant energy to flow unimpeded through the body. In addition we enliven and bring stability to the core of the body with a little quadrupedal movement and a prone backbend.
Be sure to take your time in savasana at the end - your opportunity to observe the effects of your practice, allow your nervous system to integrate what you practiced and rest deeply. This is the prelude to meditation. Don't miss it!
